Ahmed Annan, a Bahraini artist born in 1968. Most of his work revolves around the woman as an icon and muse for his art. Nature and local traditions are also important sources of inspiration for the artist. His childhood memories of watching animation cartoons had a great influence on the formation of his artistic style, this is evident in the many fictional and realistic children’s stories the artist has illustrated. His current style which combines caricature and realistic art has won him the second prize from the Fine Arts Exhibition in Bahrain in 2021.
Ahmed Annan served as President of the Bahrain Contemporary Art Society for the year 2018 - 2020. He has participated in many solo and group exhibitions in Bahrain and internationally ever since 1989. The artist received two appreciation awards from the Bahrain National Museum under the auspices of the Ministry of Information Affairs and the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, at the annual exhibition of fine arts in Bahrain for the years 1995 and 2021. The artist also won the first prize at the Bahrain Contemporary Art Society in 2002. 
He held an exhibition titled as (Invisibility and Transfiguration) in 2016 in Al-Riwaq Art Space, and he participated in the exhibition (A Lock of Fatigue) in 2014 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the subject of women. His first private exhibition was in 2002 at the Bahrain Exhibition Center. In 2018 he held a bilateral exhibition titles (Game Over) at Folk Art Gallery, and his last solo exhibition was in 2022 in Tangiers, Morocco.
