Numbers

The Story

In Baghdad, where knowledge thrived within the walls of the House of Wisdom, Al-Khwarizmi saw numbers as more than tools for calculation. To him, they were a universal system of precision and harmony. While studying Indian numerals, he realized each number could be designed based on its angular geometry: one with a single angle, two with two angles, and so on.
Al-Khwarizmi then devised a new set of numerals, now known as Arabic numbers, crafted for clarity and practicality. His greatest invention was the (zero), a symbol of absence that could redefine equations and unlock the power of decimals. It became the cornerstone of modern mathematics, reshaping the world of numbers forever.
