The deep unspoken, the vast devotion,
the blue in me I call my sea.
Its’ restless waves wrestle as an ocean
until its’ rage at last breaks free.
The silence has finally spoken,
I gaze too long, can’t even breathe.
Struck by awe in a world of slow motion.
Boundless, soundless, simply complete.

Omar Al Rashid, Kingdom of Bahrain
"White Rainbow while you and me...” is a verse recited on a couple’s Jelwa (pre-wedding traditional party) while guests hold colorful, gold-embellished pieces of fabrics over their heads. Most guests sing along not knowing that the Arabic song has this English opening line. Even though white rainbows do not actually exist, blending all of the rainbow colors would result in white. Hence, exchanging colorful fabrics over the couple’s heads to wish them a happy, colorful life just like a rainbow...

I tasked myself with art's embrace..
Oh, how enchanting is the art's grace!
Along the years, I've lost my prime.
In youth's bloom.. Through verse and line..
With each line I’ve carefully scribed,
A part of my life takes its flight..

The mother of fresh springs, do you know her?

The mother of love and peace,
Her land is always safe,

Raising the beacons high.

One might wonder,
In this crowded world I ponder.
My eyes will only search for you,
But you don't have an idea or a clue.
In a world of smiles and countless hearts,
I found yours are most divine.
You're one in a million, you're a work of art.
A beautiful muse, I wish you were mine.

The day has come, time has passed...
The damage is done, too much, too fast..
No air to breathe... No colors to see...
No waves to catch... No shores, No seas...
Now open your eyes, it was all a dream,
Look high to the sky, see the birds on trees...
Let’s keep them safe, let’s make it last,
The future is ours, and here is the path...
